TNEI has a new purpose.

What does it mean to work for TNEI?   In 2022 TNEI officially became Employee Owned. As part of the transition to becoming an Employee Owned Company, we collaboratively developed a Purpose Statement. Our purpose has been carefully crafted to reflect what we aim to achieve and outlines why we come to work at TNEI. It was written by our Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) representatives, based on consultation with all our employees.   Our purpose aims to best demonstrate to our clients, partners and colleagues what we are all about:    Who we are: An employee-owned business    What we do: Provide advice and solutions to accelerate the clean energy transition    How we do it: With industry-leading technical expertise   Why we do it: For the betterment of our people and the planet  Jake Collins-May, Employee-Owned Trust representative at TNEI, comments:  “Our Purpose Statement showcases who we are, what we do, and the

Is your Capacity Market Independent Technical Expert (ITE) report ready?

The Capacity Market was introduced in 2014 as part of the Electricity Market Reform programme to ensure the future security of our electricity supply. Energy generation and/or storage providers are paid to ensure they’re available to meet the demands of the electricity grid when there is a high risk that available supply of energy would be lower than demand.   Potential participants in the capacity market enter into an auction to secure an agreement. There are usually two capacity auctions each year:  Capacity Market Units (CMUs) that are awarded a Capacity Market Agreement must demonstrate that they will be able to supply energy when required of them in their agreed delivery year. During the construction of the CMU this is evidenced through the submission of Independant Technical Expertise (ITE) Reports.  The required ITE reports have different deadlines spread out across the year.   TNEI can deliver Financial Commitment Milestone reports, Substantial Completion
