Grid application

We manage the complex grid connections application process with the Distribution  Network Operators (DNOs) and Transmission Owners (TOs).

  • Utility interface: We speak “utility”, so you don’t have to. We will manage or support your grid applications to ensure a reliable and efficient grid connection
  • Technical and commercial review: We thoroughly review any connection offer received and highlight key contractual risks, opportunities, errors or outstanding issues

Advanced engineering and pre-energisation

GB Grid Code requirements, including the Demand Connection Code (DCC) as well as the Connection and Use of System Code (CUSC) require rigorous technical validation to ensure projects do not jeopardise grid stability.

  • Power quality and harmonics: Mitigating voltage flicker and harmonic distortion to protect sensitive IT equipment
  • Transient and stability analysis: Fault Ride Through (FRT), insulation coordination and short-circuit analysis to ensure a resilient facility
