Windaba is Africa’s leading wind energy conference and exhibition, bringing together the people, ideas and expertise shaping the future of wind energy across the continent.
Hosted by the South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA) in partnership with the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), Windaba connects government, industry, investors, developers, policymakers, academia and other key stakeholders to engage on the priorities, opportunities and challenges facing the sector.
In 2026, Windaba marks 15 years of convening the wind energy industry. Under the theme Implementing Watt Matters: Policy. Power. People., this year’s conference focuses on moving from ambition to implementation and the practical action required to accelerate wind energy deployment, unlock investment and support the continued growth of the sector.
TNEI’s Zoë Lincoln will be speaking at this event during the Wind Energy Power breakaway session on: Inside the National Control Centre: Curtailment, Storage and Grid Optimisation.
