What does it mean to work for TNEI?
In 2022 TNEI officially became Employee Owned. As part of the transition to becoming an Employee Owned Company, we collaboratively developed a Purpose Statement. Our purpose has been carefully crafted to reflect what we aim to achieve and outlines why we come to work at TNEI. It was written by our Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) representatives, based on consultation with all our employees.
Our purpose aims to best demonstrate to our clients, partners and colleagues what we are all about:
Who we are: An employee-owned business
What we do: Provide advice and solutions to accelerate the clean energy transition
How we do it: With industry-leading technical expertise
Why we do it: For the betterment of our people and the planet

“Our Purpose Statement showcases who we are, what we do, and the values we represent. Along with showing the causes we believe in, the purpose statement gives us a great way to hold ourselves to account, and make sure that actions we take as an individual and as a business, align with the personal, societal, and environmental goals that we believe in, and come to work to achieve.”

“When I consider the Purpose Statement which was eventually agreed upon, it feels incredibly fitting of the everyday TNEI experience with which I’m familiar. It’s been the driving force behind the way we’ve done things all along, only now we’ve captured it in clear and concise words, to share and reflect upon.”
Each and every employee has had the opportunity to contribute to our Purpose Statement and we are very proud of it, and where we are in our Employee Ownership journey. The EOT is an evolving process and we are excited to launch a purpose that can guide us in every element of our work.
