TNEI’s P&E Group submit application for 12 turbine development in East Ayrshire

TNEI’s Planning and Environment Group has submitted a major planning application including Environmental Impact Assessment to East Ayrshire Council in respect of the Glenouther Renewable Energy Park on behalf of Gamesa Energy UK Ltd. The 12 turbine development, situated in proximity to the M77 north of Fenwick, has been subject to a lengthy and thorough design, planning and environment assessment process which involved extensive public consultation in the local area. TNEI contributed a range of services during the project, including planning, EIA project management, noise, shadow flicker, GIS, ecology and ornithology expertise.

If approved, this major development would generate enough electricity to power c.20,000 households and offset over 1.1 million tonnes of carbon throughout its 25 year lifetime. TNEI will continue to support Gamesa throughout the post-submission process.
