TNEI recently hosted a successful charity five-a-side football tournament in support of “With Kids,” a Glasgow-based charity that provides vital services to children and families in need. The tournament was a fun-filled and competitive event, bringing together six teams from various companies to raise awareness and funds for this remarkable organisation.
With Kids, which operates in the East End of Glasgow—one of the areas with the highest levels of poverty in the UK—works tirelessly to support families, offering therapeutic services such as Play Therapy to help children manage challenging emotions. They also provide parents and carers with tools to navigate life’s challenges and build resilience within their families. The charity’s individualised approach focuses on providing practical and emotional support, ensuring that families are empowered to find solutions to their difficulties.
The charity tournament saw teams from TNEI, Muirhall Energy, National HVDC Centre, Wood Group, and Frazer Nash come together for an afternoon of fast-paced action. Each match lasted 15 minutes, and with some teams playing back-to-back games, the test of endurance added an extra layer of intensity to the competition. It was an incredibly close contest, with TNEI ultimately coming out on top, edging out the competition by a single goal in terms of goal difference.
More importantly, the event highlighted the generous spirit of our industry and our shared commitment to supporting impactful organisations like With Kids.
