From the UK to India, TNEI came together to support people living with cancer
Colleagues from across TNEI have taken part in this year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning, bringing teams together across multiple locations to raise funds and awareness for people living with cancer.
From the UK to India, employees gathered over coffee, cake and conversation as part of the annual initiative organised in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the UK’s leading cancer charities.
The event reflects TNEI’s commitment to creating a positive impact beyond the workplace. One of the company’s core values is to “care about the world around them”, and colleagues embraced the opportunity to support a cause that touches the lives of millions of people and families.
Macmillan Cancer Support estimates that more than 3.5 million people are currently living with cancer in the UK, with someone receiving a diagnosis every 75 seconds. Through services including its support line, online community, information resources and specialist professionals, the charity provides vital support to people living with cancer at every stage of their journey.
TNEI has long been proud of its inventive and collaborative culture, which encourages colleagues to work together to solve challenges and support the communities around them. The Macmillan Coffee Morning provided another opportunity for employees to connect across teams and locations while contributing to a meaningful cause.
“Macmillan Coffee Morning is a fantastic opportunity for colleagues to come together in support of an important cause,” said Samantha Tyson, member of TNEI’s People & Community Team and organiser of TNEI’s Macmillan Coffee Morning.
“It was great to see teams across the UK and India getting involved, bringing colleagues together while helping raise funds and awareness for people living with cancer. Supporting the communities around us is a key part of who we are as a business, and we’re proud to have played our part.”
Donations raised through the initiative will help Macmillan continue providing practical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer and their loved ones.
