Team TNEI – the race is on to COP26!

In the lead up to COP26 TNEI staff will take part in a STEP-tacularchallengewhich will not only keep them fit and activebutsupport the World Land Trust which has been saving tropical forests and other critically threatened habitats since 1989.

Why?

The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 1 ““ 12 November 2021.The lastCOP conferenceto take place wasCOP25in Madrid.We have challenged20 of ourTNEI staffto swaptheir suits for boots and theirpower systemsstudiesfor pedalstocollectivelyclock up the 1,490 miles from Madrid to Glasgowby foot, bike, SUP or any otheremission-free/carbon-neutralway of getting aroundin the lead up to COP26!

Miles will be trackedon ourTNEI Race to COP26clubinthe Strava app and we will provide regular updates with our progress.

1,490 miles? That’s easy!

We reckon this journey can be done several times before COP26 takes place inNovember andTNEI haspledged tobuy 5 acres with the World Land Trusteachtime the 1,490-mile journey is completed.

Each acre of threatened habitat purchased will be protected for wildlife in perpetuity”“saving endangered species from extinction, tackling climate change and safeguarding some of the world’s last remaining wilderness.
