Team E&E Visits Clients in the ‘Big Smoke’

Chris Pepper (Head of Environment and Consents), Ryan Llewellyn (Consenting Lead), and Ben Parkins (Principal Consultant) recently visited London for a catch up with existing and prospective clients.

Pinballing through the ‘Big Smoke’, Chris, Ryan, and Ben spent three days visiting client offices to discuss project progress, explore any market concerns and where future time and energy would be focused, and review whether there were any further ways that TNEI could support in the future.

A key theme raised on several occasions was grid reform and all its associated key issues! It was clear that the need to have applications for consent submitted to support grid application is a key consideration for progressing renewable energy projects.

A wide breadth of clients were visited, including those requiring TNEI support for due diligence work, noise assessments, battery projects and also electric vehicles, and solar schemes.

The team also explored the topic of data centres and the growth that will be required to meet the ever-increasing data processing demand going forward.

For prospective clients, it was a valuable opportunity to learn more about their business priorities and future focus to ensure TNEI can support them with the right team of subconsultants for any project in terms of both technology type and geographical location.

It was great to put faces to names and to have the opportunity to chat in person. The air-conditioned offices provided some much-needed respite from the warm weather in London!

It was a very busy three days, and the trip would not have been complete without a visit to Dishoom, of course!
