From September 8–11, Las Vegas hosted RE+ 2025, North America’s largest clean energy event.
Organised by SEPA (Smart Electric Power Alliance) and SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association), the conference brought together more than 40,000 professionals and 1,350 exhibitors, filling both the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum. The scale and energy of the event underscored its role as the industry’s premier gathering.
Policy took centre stage, with debates on how U.S. regulatory changes and tariff policies are reshaping project economics. While challenges such as shifting incentives and trade uncertainty remain, the overall mood was optimistic—most attendees agreed that clean energy’s momentum is now irreversible. Key discussions highlighted advances in energy storage, grid integration, falling solar costs, and “smart” hardware innovations.
The TNEI team used the opportunity to connect with clients, partners, and even competitors, while also exploring ways to expand European relationships into the U.S. market. A recurring theme in conversations was the rapid growth of data centres, driving demand for grid capacity and connection expertise—an area where TNEI is already strong. Notably, we left the conference with a new U.S. contract after more than a year of engagement with the client.
RE+ 2025 showcased a sector moving toward faster interconnections, AI-enabled operations, and commercial-scale hydrogen and microgrids. For TNEI, it confirmed both the opportunities and our vital role in helping clients deliver the next wave of clean energy and data centre projects.
