Last week a few of us enjoyed a pleasant evening at the IET Manchester Network Annual dinner. Rachel Hodges, the MD, explains a little more:
“We were there as guests of the IET and Manchester University as recognition of our status as significant employers in the industry in the region. It was good to see a good cross section of those active in Engineering and Technology in the Manchester area that are involved in interesting projects in both power and “‘non-power’ fields. There were also some very good discussions during the night on how we can inspire young people into Engineering and to encourage women in their careers in the industry. I will personally take away from the night a few more ideas on how I can get involved with the IET and the STEM network at a local level and will be looking to see how we can support others in TNEI to do the same.”
