THE POSITION

IPSA Power (www.ipsa-power.com) develops and maintains IPSA, a power system analysis tool, and other products based on it. IPSA Power is part of TNEI (www.tneigroup.com), an independent specialist energy consultancy providing technical, strategic, planning, and environmental advice to companies and organisations operating within the energy sector. The dedicated software and solutions team that develops IPSA and other tools based on it is based in Manchester and Kochi.

We are actively looking for a high-calibre sales professional with exceptional relationship-building and business development skills to drive the growth of IPSA across the global energy industry. If you thrive on opening new markets, building strategic industry partnerships, and positioning advanced technology solutions to enterprise customers, while being excited to join a fast-moving and ambitious energy software team.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Drive the growth of IPSA across the US, UK and European energy markets.
  • Expand the product into new markets and build strong long-term relationships across the energy industry.
  • Develop strategic connections with utilities, consultants, renewable developers, EPCs, grid operators, and industrial clients.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity development to closing high-value deals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline while contributing to the company’s rapid international growth.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential requirements include: 

  • 5+ years of successful sales or business development experience in the energy, utilities, or power systems industry
  • Exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of the energy sector, grid technologies, or power systems.
  • Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and close enterprise-level deals.
  • Self-driven, commercially minded, and excited to be part of a fast-growing technology team.

Desirable requirements:  

  • Experience selling engineering, simulation, analytics, or SaaS platforms.
  • Existing network within utilities, renewables, or energy consultancies.
  • Exposure to international market development and strategic partnerships.
  • Willingness to travel across the US, UK and Europe.
