We are delighted to announce that TNEI and Ionic Consulting will be forming a partnership to provide clients with a one-stop location for all grid connection needs, whatever the type of project. Our exciting partnership will be launched at the IWEA Offshore Wind Conference which will take place on Thursday 12th September in Dublin.
From a number of offices across the UK and Ireland, this partnership will be able to offer the management and delivery of grid connection solutions from the project concept stage all the way through to energisation and subsequent grid code compliance. Building on their previous experience of working closely together on existing onshore wind farm projects, the team can ensure that optimal design is chosen and that each step of the asset delivery process is managed cost effectively but to the required standards of both quality and safety.
IONIC are Ireland’s leading technical service provider for the renewables sector and have been involved in 100+ renewable energy projects in Ireland, the UK and internationally. Combined with TNEI’s long established and proven expertise in the energy sector having delivered a diverse range of studies and engineering designs for 500+ projects, the partnership will provide clients with grid connection services of the highest quality.
Both companies have a clear understanding and detailed knowledge of the National Grid Codes and the connection methodology and contestability processes within EirGrid, ESBN, NGESO and UK transmission and distribution network operators.
Ken Boyne, Managing Director at Ionic comments ‘This partnership draws on the unique skills, talent and experience of each company to offer a combined offering of real depth and quality at a time when the grid connection landscape is becoming more and more complex. It was also a relief to find a partner with a similar ethos and approach – technically excellent but a team who are easy to work with.’
Nigel Tate, Commercial Director at TNEI adds ‘The announcement of TNEI’s partnership with Ionic is something we hope will be of genuine interest to those working and developing projects in the renewables sector over the coming years as the partnership offers what we believe is a unique combination of skills and experience in all aspects of grid connectivity’.
