This month we are delighted to welcome Joanne Plant MRTPI to TNEI. Working primarily in our Environment and Engineering team, Jo brings 20 years of consultancy experience and will be responsible for providing planning support and advice to clients and driving the growth of the company’s environmental and consenting services.

She is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with considerable planning and environmental experience gained primarily within the private sector.

Jo is involved in all aspects of planning consultancy including site finding and initial feasibility studies; pre-application consultation with planning officers, statutory consultees and the wider public; EIA (Environmental Impact Assessments) co-ordination and preparation of robust supporting documents such as Planning Statements and Pre-Application Consultation Reports; advising on developer contributions and the content of legal agreements; and purification of planning conditions. She also has experience of undertaking due diligence work for both developers and lenders.

Jo joins TNEI’s well established Environmental and Engineering team which, as well as planning and EIA capabilities, includes specialists in acoustics, geotechnical and civil engineering. The team has over 100 years of combined experience of working on energy developments and is currently involved in a wide range of projects from site finding and feasibility through to repowering and life extension.

The appointment has allowed TNEI’s Jason McGray to take up his new role as Corporate Development Director which will enable him to work more widely throughout the business and with a focus on identifying medium to long term opportunities, ensuring that we continue to provide the services our clients need throughout the energy transition.

Jason McGray comments:

‘Jo brings excellent experience and expertise to the team at a time when we are supporting clients on a renewable generation and grid infrastructure projects and there are lots of exciting opportunities. This is a key appointment for us as we continue to recruit over the coming months.

I am relishing being able to work more closely with colleagues and clients across the whole of TNEI and to help set our medium to long term direction. We have a strong track record of innovative problem solving and forward thinking. These abilities are going to continue to be crucial in addressing the challenges that the energy industry will be tackling in the coming years.’

Please get in touch if you would like to find out more, would like to discuss how we can help with your projects or simply for a catch up - we would love to hear from you.
