Wind farm constraint studies of Ora More Wind Farm, Northern Ireland

RES commissioned TNEI to undertake a network constraint assessment to calculate an estimate of potential incidences of Generator Output Reduction (GOR) for the Ora More and Altaveedan wind farms, respectively connected to Enniskillen and Mid-Antrim 110 kV transmission nodes in Northern Ireland.

The objective of the studies is to identify network constraint and determine the minimum wind power reduction required to eliminate the identified overloads.
The constraint studies were performed for year 2016 - year 2020 taking into account different study assumptions of connected wind farms, network reinforcements, implemented special protection scheme, etc..
