Specialist independent energy consultancy, TNEI is delighted to welcome Rebecca Evans and Angus Mackay to its Manchester and Glasgow offices.
Rebecca joins TNEI following client-side and consultant town planning and development roles at National Grid, Eneco and Amec. Her key areas of experience include preparing Development Consent Order documentation, gaining TCPA and secondary consents, linear and site development and managing multi-disciplinary environmental teams and contractors.
Rebecca is based in TNEI’s Manchester office, working closely with colleagues across TNEI’s developer support, concept and innovation and site services offerings to advise clients on a wide range of environmental and consenting issues.
Angus is a renewable energy project manager and former lawyer with over 15 years’ experience in bringing renewables, environmental and property projects to financial close. For the last seven years, he has focused on renewable energy developments, particularly project management of investors’ environmental and technical due diligence, including Equator Principles assessments of offshore wind, onshore wind and solar projects. In addition, he brings a wealth of experience to TNEI’s expanding due diligence capability.
Angus also provides advice on regulatory and compliance considerations affecting renewable energy projects, whether these relate to environmental and social impacts, site selection and feasibility, financial support mechanisms, construction, operation or decommissioning.
Closer to home, Angus is familiar with Land Reform and Community Empowerment legislation, as well as the Shared Ownership initiative in Scotland. His knowledge of these matters allows him to advise communities, developers, off-takers and landowners on the renewable energy opportunities the legislation is giving rise to and how best to mutually benefit from them. This includes local energy economies.
These two new appointments further enhance TNEI‘s ability to meet the needs of clients in challenging markets, providing greater breadth of services, with the planning and consenting team growing across TNEI’s UK offices.
